IT'S ART: How the Kardashians' Faces Have Changed

Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama

What happens if Marc Jacobs, Artistic Director of Louis Vuitton, and Yayoi Kusama cooperate? Fashion that looks like art: The collection interprets the most emblematic artworks of Kusama. But how did this come about? Jacobs met Kusama – who sees her life as “a dot lost among millions of other dots”- in 2006 in Tokyo and became a big fan: “the obsessive character and the innocence of her artwork touch me. She succeeds in sharing her vision of ther world with us.” This collaboration – which includes the iconic Louis Vuitton leather goods, ready-to-wear, shoes, accessories, watches and jewellery – will allow Kusama to spread her polka dots infinitely across the world and convey her message: “Love Forever”.

Places in Paris: Café Germain

Take a coffee beside a giant woman: Since spring 2009 there is the Café Germain at 25 Rue de Buci, Paris. With vintage materials, checked tiles, threadbare velvet and lether the first floor reminds on the 80s. The second floor is more 70s with sofas, soft cushions and an imperial red pool table. In the middle of the Café a monumental work from Xavier Veilhan, the woman Sophie, breaks through the ceiling and connects the first floor with the second one:

Mantra Mobile

Remind yourself and others to stay positive and confident: Two New York artists write words on both sides of wooden panels and hang one below the other. Each "pozie" is written as a poem so that it makes sense in many different ways.

My favourite is this one:
love / more
laughter / together
enjoyment / fulfillment
dancing / dreaming
